In Britain all Bat species and their roosts are legally protected, by both domestic and international legislation making it an offence to damage or destroy a Bat roosting place (even if Bats are not occupying the roost at the time).
At J.L Ecology Ltd, we are fully licenced by Natural England to carry out external and internal surveys for Bats to establish their presence or absence within a site and provide professional advice dependant on the outcome.
Here at J.L Ecology Ltd, we specialise in tree surveys for bats.
Our principal ecologist Joe has spent 14 years working in Arboriculture and is a NPTC City and Guilds CS38 certified climber.
Considerable time and expenditure can be saved by our climb and inspect surveys establishing immediately if a feature contains or has contained Bats recently, eliminating the need for any further surveys, which would be neccessary if only viewed from the ground.
